Award #2 Plate name: The explorer that does not know where he is Nominess: Ferdinand Magellan, Columbus, and Cortes Winner is... Christopher Columbas Why he won the award: Set out to sail land in Carribbean, thought he was in Asia when he was not, tourchered/raped/killed/enslaved people "Thank you for sailing the ocean blue to the wrong place. Set out to sail did that one thing right be when to the wrong place and hurt many, you did it!" Award #3 Plate name: Trade is the way no matter who gets hurt Nominess: Atlantic Slave Trade, Spice Islands/ line of Demarcation, and Portuguese Explorers Winner is... Atlantic Slave Trade/ Americans and Africa Why did they win: Triangular trade got where it needed to be if it were people/spices/food, more money they got, and power goes up "Thank you for hurting all those people for money and rewards hope it was worth it, great job!" Award #4 Plate name: Yall know how to build it up the right way Nominess: Spanish Emplorers, Accoplishments of Natives(Tainos, Maya, Inca, Aztecs), and Effects of Conquistadores Winner is... Accomplishments of Natives: Tainos, Maya, Inca and Aztecs Why they won: Developed languages, developed science of astronomy, created drainage systems, and introduced writing skills "Thank you for building up your economy and bringing up new things to the world, keep it up!" Award #5 Plate name: start off bad but ending with a good mark Nominess: Portuguese Explorers, Spice Islands/line of Demarcation, and Effects of Conquistadors Winner is.... Effects of Conquistadors Why they won: killed off natives, natives lose land and religion, conquisdors civilization grows "It was not the best beginning but you guys ended up bringing some good out, thank you." Award #6 Plate name: Doesnt matter if you died you still did it! Nominess: Accompishments of Natives, Vasco da Gama, and Ferdinand Magellan Winner is... Ferdinand Magellain Why they won: was the first to circumnavigate the world, wanted t go to spice islands, he died, his crew reaches Spain without him. "Thank you for starting off the travel sorry you died but your crew finished it off for you, great job!"
